Gus is an experienced litigator with a diverse practice representing clients before United States District Courts, Florida State Circuit Courts, the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Such representation has included cases related to trademark infringement, real estate disputes, copyright infringement, counterfeiting, unfair competition, breach of contract, a variety of commercial and business disputes, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) violations, and related causes of action through all stages of litigation.
Gus also has considerable experience assisting clients with a number of different business matters including drafting and negotiating various contracts including commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, joint venture and partnership agreements, corporate operating agreements, licensing agreements, assignments, covenants not to compete, non-disclosure agreements, work-for-hire agreements, and related matters.
Prior to re-joining H New Media Law in 2018, and after more than a decade of practicing law, Gus served as the Director of Leasing, Tenant Relations and Acquisitions, as well as In-House Counsel for a local real estate investment and management firm holding and/or managing approximately 1,000,000 square feet of grocery anchored retail properties throughout Florida.
